Marianne Zotin

M.Sc. Marianne Zotin is a researcher and Doctoral student in the Energy Planning Program at COPPE/UFRJ. She holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from UFRJ and a master's degree in Energy Planning from COPPE/UFRJ. She developed her master's dissertation on the role of China in the global energy transition. Currently, her DSc thesis focuses on the role of the industry sector in long-term global climate mitigation scenarios. Her main research interests are related to the non-energy use of biomass, decarbonization of the industrial sector, integrated assessment models, energy transition and renewable energy policy-making.
